The long musical tradition of electro-disco, Italo style, foregrounds our newest release. Bringing together five producers for a celebration of their cosmic past and future-forward present, Romantico Disco EP is a resolutely Italian affair.

Sicilian Mauro Di Martino is best known for his house sound as Musumeci; Elsewhere the anonymous newcomer Phunkadelica has offered a fresh injection of intergalactic groove since their 2017 debut. Musumeci & Phunkadelica’s talents merge in playful, complex tug-of-war: “Babilonia” is as abundant as its mythical name suggests, while “Velluto Blu,” is moody, evocative and dark.

On the B-side, alumni artists Stereocalypse’s “Lone Solo Drummer,” focuses on the rhythmic capabilities of a percussive kit, and to complete the EP, their second production, “The Cunning Man,” gazes towards the Balearic Islands and then to the cosmos.

Musumeci is a musical project by Mauro Di Martino, sicilian dj and producer since late 80s. ‘The Gemini Project’ album on his own label Engrave Ltd has put Musumeci on the map.
